    PASSPORT INFORMATION

    https://www.usa.gov/agencies/national-passport-information-center

    1. Check the expiration date on your passport. We recommend renewing your passport
well ahead of any planned international travel, even if it still has a few months validity
left on it. Some countries require that your passport be valid at least six months beyond
    the dates of your trip.

    2. If you have prospective travel in the next 16 weeks, we highly recommends you pay for both expedited service and shipping upon submitting your application. If expedited service was not originally purchased, applicants should call the NPIC (National Passport Information Center) immediately to upgrade (877-487-2778, Monday through Friday 8:00am-10:00pm.) Hold times are long, so call early during the day.

    3. Pending applications are sometimes unable to be issued before an individual’s international departure, despite processing times having elapsed. Try contacting your Congressman or Senator’s offices to see if they can help make an in-person appointment with your local Passport Agency. There is an office in Tampa, 3501 Bessie Coleman Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33630, 813-770-0609.

    4. Estimated processing times can always be extended. Please do not rely on the
estimated time indicated at the time of application, as additional information may be
requested while your application is under review, further extending wait times.
